The Foreign Minister spoke via phone with Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri, according to a spokesman for the Foreign Office. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar was called by the acting Iranian foreign minister.

The spokesperson stated that the deputy prime minister, Ishaq Dar, represented the feelings of the people of Pakistan and vehemently denounced the senseless, brutal killing of Ismail Haniyeh, while the foreign minister of Iran conveyed the profound condolences of the Iranian people and leadership over his passing.

Brutal killing.

The statement added that Ismail Haniyeh’s barbaric murder violates international law and that the National Assembly has unanimously denounced this horrific atrocity.

The Deputy Prime Minister was extended an invitation to attend the OIC meeting by the acting Iranian Foreign Minister, as stated by the Foreign Office. Pakistan would actively participate in this significant OIC meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister said, adding that he fully supports calling it an exceptional meeting of OIC foreign ministers.

It is said that Ismail Haniyeh was martyred on July 31 in Tehran while attending Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian’s inauguration ceremony at a guest home in the city.

While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has cautioned that Israel may face difficulties in the coming months, Iran has stated that it is duty-bound to exact revenge for the brutal killing of Ismail Haniyeh.

Additionally, Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri called Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and made it abundantly evident that Iran has the right to pursue revenge for the death of Ismail Haniyeh and to maintain its internal sovereignty.

A number of nations have halted their flights to Israel as a result of the current uptick in hostilities between Iran and Israel, including the US, Germany, and Italy.
