According to DG ISPR, the military in Banu reacted appropriately and quickly during the event by following SOPs.

During a news conference, a spokesman for the Pakistan Army declared that our brave men had routed all of the attackers.

The provincial government, not the military, should be in charge of crowd control. Upon the arrival of any disruptive group, they are met with warnings, aerial fire, and an appropriate response if they continue to cause trouble.

Furthermore, public protests prompted by the Banu tragedy were legitimate, according to Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif. Marches against these terrorists are crucial, no doubt about it.

The people declared a peace march, but some armed people had already joined them, according to DG ISPR.

A few of them broke down a makeshift barricade, plundered the supply storage, and infiltrated the traders’ peace march. From a kilometer away, armed individuals opened fire, inflicting injuries.
Therefore, the military’s action in Banu was strictly compliant with SOPs.
