“China’s Peace Plan Response: Ukraine Eager for Negotiations with Russia’s Genuine Goodwill Condition and 3 Key Steps”
In a positive development, Russia responds to China’s peace plan by agreeing to Ukraine talks with goodwill conditions and three key steps. Explore the details of this significant diplomatic effort.
“Russia Agrees to Ukraine Talks in Response to China’s peace plan“
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that his country is prepared for peace talks, but only if Russia consents to sincere discussions, at a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in the Chinese city of Guangzhou. But he pointed out that, at the moment, the Russian side is not demonstrating such good faith.
Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Kuleba Dmytro, the foreign minister of Ukraine, is the highest-ranking official to travel to China with a group.
According to a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China provided humanitarian assistance and voiced concern over the humanitarian situation in Ukraine during the meeting.
The two presidents talked about developing long-term ties and boosting food supplies to Ukraine, the official added.
Interestingly, Ukraine wants to organize a second international summit on the fight against Russia, with China and Russia as co-chairs. The summit will take place in a country from the Global South.
China should be a major player in bringing the war to a conclusion, according to Ukraine’s declaration.
It is also important to keep in mind that China and Brazil declared plans to hold an international peace conference in May, along with the introduction of a six-point China’s peace plan that Russia and Ukraine would follow.
