In 26 coal mine incidents during the first seven months of this year, 52 miners lost their lives, according to the Department of Mineral Resources.
According to sources close to the mine rescue operation, two brothers named Muhammad Ismail and Abdul Manan perished by asphyxia after a local coal mine in Mach filled with poisonous gas. Following recovery, the hospital has received their bodies.
Muhammad Jaleel, a 25-year-old worker, perished in a cart collision in the Shahrig coal mine in the Harnai district.
The Department of Mineral Resources reports that in the first seven months of this year, there were 26 accidents in Balochistan’s coal mines that resulted in 52 miners’ deaths and 10 injuries.
According to the data, the coal mines in Quetta, Harnai, and Duki experienced the greatest number of accidents.
