US Medical Volunteers Urge White House for Immediate Gaza Crisis and Weapons Ban:
American doctors have written to the White House, demanding a ceasefire in Gaza and the cessation of weapons supplies.
In the letter, the doctors expressed their deep concern about the ongoing Gaza crisis and urged the US government to take immediate action to halt the violence.
They highlighted the devastating impact of the conflict on civilians, particularly children and the elderly, and called for urgent humanitarian assistance to be provided to those affected.
The doctors also emphasized the need for a long-term solution to the conflict that ensures peace and stability in the region.
According to American media, a group of 45 American doctors and nurses has written a letter to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
The letter stated that they could not remain silent about what they witnessed in the Gaza crisis. Children in Gaza were deliberately injured; each of us treated children daily who had been shot in the head and chest.
The signatories of the letter expressed that they want the recipients to experience the nightmares that haunt them after returning from Gaza. They wish for President Biden and Vice President Harris to see the disabled and wounded children caused by American weapons, to hear the desperate cries of the injured children’s mothers pleading for their lives, and to understand the screams that their consciences cannot forget.
The American doctors stated that they are in a strong position to comment on the human toll of Israel’s attacks on Gaza. They called for a ban on supplying weapons to Israel and all Palestinian armed groups and for halting military, diplomatic, and economic aid to Israel until an immediate and permanent ceasefire is achieved.
According to the report, American doctors wrote in their letter that under American law and international humanitarian law, the U.S. government is obligated to take such action.
